About AFPCC

The Association for Financial Professionals® of Canada (AFPC) Calgary is a treasury and finance group dedicated to providing local treasury professionals with a forum to exchange ideas, debate current issues and examine new concepts and technologies. Our goal is to offer members networking and career development opportunities to enhance their expertise in the field of treasury management. AFPC Calgary membership is comprised of approximately 200 individuals who represent over 95 public and private sector organizations from the Calgary area. Monthly luncheon sessions feature speakers on the latest issues in treasury and financial management including: macroeconomic and industry outlooks, central bank watching, financial risk management, credit rating trends, electronic commerce, pension fund investment performance and information technology. Members are encouraged to participate in the luncheon series by asking questions, making presentations and proposing topics for future presentations. AFPC Calgary is affiliated with the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) of Canada, which is the preferred global resource for financial professionals in Canada. Its mandate is to raise the stature and visibility of its members by offering them a proven brand of products and services. AFP of Canada has a distinctive Board of Directors comprised of members dedicated to the advancement of our profession. They bring expertise from a range of industries, including financial services, manufacturing, communications, retail and natural resources. Members have access to the full range of products and services offered by the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), a global organization which serves more than 16,000 individual members throughout all stages of their careers in treasury and financial management in more than 40 countries, including its annual conference which is the largest event of corporate treasury and finance professionals in North America.
